How it works

Individual Sessions – Adults. If you would like to make an appointment, we will meet for an initial assessment session. At this first meeting we will talk and think about the things that are worrying you and to see why you are wanting counselling at this time. We will also think about any goals you would like to achieve.

It will also give us the opportunity to see whether we are comfortable working together. You can ask me questions that arise and I will also explain a bit about how I work.

If we decide to work together, we will decide if you want short term work which is 8-12 sessions or open ended counselling. I will then offer you a regular, once a week 50 minute session on the same day and time, each week.  With open ended counselling, there are no limits to the number of sessions you can have.

Individual sessions – Adolescents. If you would like to make an appointment, we will meet for an initial session. This will be an opportunity to talk and think about the things that are worrying you and to agree on some goals to work on. We would then be able to arrange a time to meet each week for a 50-minute session.

You can choose to have short term counselling or open ended sessions where there are no limits to the number of sessions you can have.
